The Valhalla Foundation


The Valhalla Foundation is dedicated to the enhancement of the educational experience of students at Valhalla High School.  The Foundation provides for scholarships, grants, facilities improvements, and other activities associated with this goal as allowed by law.

Some basic facts about the foundation

The Valhalla Foundation is...

  • a 100% legal non-profit organization
  • 100% of staff are volunteers
  • donations stay at Valhalla High School
  • no Grossmont district control
  • no personal dealing
  • IRS/Ca Attorney General oversight

Where does the money come from?

  • Tax deductible donations
  • Corporate donations
  • other foundation grants
  • Endowments
  • Gifts (cash, real estate, appreciated stocks, etc.)
  • Planned giving

Where Does the Money Go?

  • Facilities Improvement - have you seen our football field? Thank the Foundation!
  • Scholarships
  • Classroom grants
  • Equipment, supplies, software, etc.

Where the Money Does NOT Go...

  • The school district General Fund
  • District employee pay and/or benefits
  • Political campaigns
  • Foundation officers and/or directors (100% volunteers)
  • Any other schools
  • Non-Valhalla High School students
