NORSEMEN FOOTBALL
2008 Fundraisers

This year we will be conducting two major fund-raisers for the Football program.  It is crucial that we achieve 100% participation in these activities to ensure our ability to provide a rewarding season for our student athletes.  The events are described below.  If you have any questions please contact Coach Sutton, Coach Kastan, or any Booster member.

Community Service Letters

On Tuesday, August 5, all student athletes will participate in “Cleanup Day.”  The morning (7:30-11:30) will be spent working to clean up and beautify the school grounds at Valhalla, after which the Boosters will provide lunch.

PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL TEAM MEMBERS.

Contact Coach Sutton or Coach Kastan in advance if you are unable to attend the August 5th workday: Friday August 8th is the scheduled make-up day.

Fundraising for this event comes by way of Community Service Sponsor Letters.  Each athlete must send 10 letters to friends/family/acquaintances requesting sponsorship of the cleanup work being performed.  In the case of families with multiple athletes in the football program, only 10 letters must be sent.  Out-of-town contacts are perfectly acceptable.

The letters will be distributed to all athletes in the near future: complete instructions for their use will be included at that time.

 Game Program Advertising

This year each athlete is being asked to sell a minimum of two business-card sized advertisements in the VHS Game Program which is printed and sold for each home game.  Each such ad spot costs $75.  If any athlete sells four or more business card advertisements (or any other size advertisement(s) totaling $300 or more), he will receive a free Spirit Pack - or a refund if the Spirit Pack has already been purchased.

Forms for sales of advertisements have already been handed out to the Teams.  For more information on the various packages being offered, click here to see the online form.

All ad paperwork and monies are to be turned in on Monday, August 4th during practice.  Any student may opt-out of this Game Program advertising fund-raiser with a payment of $150 to the Valhalla Football Trust.
